Where will the competitions take place ?
  • For soloists and chamber musicians it will take place in the Klaviergalerie (www.klaviergalerie.at).
  • Ballet, Folk Dance and Modern Dance will be held in the MUTH (www.muth.at).
Where will the masterclasses take place ?

For Ballet and Dance, it will be held in the MUK (www.muk.ac.at). For Solo and Chamber Music, the classes will take place in the Klaviergalerie (www.klaviergalerie.at).

Where will the workshops take place ?


• For Ballet and Dance: In „MUK“ Musik und Kunst Universität Wien (Music and Arts Private University of Vienna)

What is the age limit for participants of the competition ?

In general, the age limit is 27 years. In bigger groups it is allowed to have a maximum of 10% oft he participants between 28 and 35 years.

When do I have to pay the application fee ?

A the time of application. After submitting the application form, you will be directed to the payment link. Please note that registration is only complete after we received your payment. You will receive a confirmation email. 

How much is the application fee for the competition and performances ?

MUSIC:
*90 € for soloists
*90 € for Duos p.P.
*45 € per person for Trios and larger groups
*250 € for Choirs, orchestras, brass bands etc. per group

BALLET and DANCE:
*90 € for Solo
*75 € for Duets per person
*45 € for Trios and larger groups per person

NOTE:  The fees do not apply for participants from China, as we have a cooperating agency partner who is in charge of them and who takes care of the Visum. Please get in touch with us to learn more about the packages for Chinese participants. 

How much is the application fee for master classes ?

MUSIC
*480 € for Solo (4 x 50 min)
*220 € per P. for Duos and larger groups (4 x 50 min.)

BALLET / FOLK / MODERN DANCE
*300 € for 3 different classes (4 x 90 min.)
*220 € for 2 different classes of your choice (4 x 90 min.)
*150 € for 1 class of your choice (4 x 90 min.)
*260 € per group for 2 methodical classes

When will the detailed schedule be announced ?

After the application deadline in the end of June, we can have a clearer picture of the participation, and accordingly arrange the schedule – from the end of June. A draft is already displayed on the Website. It is subject to changes.

Does the Festival cover transportation, hotel and food during the Festival period?

No, we don't cover these costs, but we offer an Event package for your stay. Please get in touch with us to learn more. 

Where can I practice before the competition ?

The best way is to rent a practice room not too far from your hotel.
Here are some options:

I love music and dance performances. Where can I get tickets for the concerts ?

We have three main public concerts taking place in the MuTh: 

  • 17th July 2019, 7.30 pm : Festival Concert
  • 20th July 2019, 3 pm: Music Gala Award Concert
  • 21st July 2019, 3 pm: Dance Gala Award Performance

You can purchase tickets via the website: www.muth.at from around 2 month prior to the Festival.

For the music masterclasses:

  • Prof.Oleg Poliansky (piano and chamber music)
  • Prof.Panteleimon (Pantelis) Pistofidis (violin and chamber music)

  • Sasha  Danilov (clarinet)

Note: Depending on the demand of instrumentalists, we can provide more teachers for the specific instruments.

For the dance masterclasses:

  • Mag. Oleksandr Maslyannikov (Ballet and variation class)

What does the “Charity” in the Gala event stand for ?

With our funds, we support young artists through various measures: Providing scholarships; fostering young talents by providing performing opportunities or/and enabling them to come to Vienna. Another focus is to invite artistic groups with special situations, such as various levels of handicaps or other challenging conditions. Our goal is to make the music and dance world accessible to everyone.

Does the Festival board provide an invitation letter for my Visa if needed ?

We can provide Visa invitation letters for participants around the world, apart from China. Please contact us if you need an invitation letter for your trip to Vienna.
